Documents do not require Pro to remain private. Every new document is a private draft and becomes visible outside your account only when you enable public sharing. Pro’s current privacy difference primarily concerns private Collections.
How Credits are consumed
Section titled “How Credits are consumed”These operations consume Credits:
- AI conversations and text generation;
- AI search, summaries, and document edits;
- image generation;
- audio overviews.
Usage is not a fixed amount per request. It depends on model pricing, input length, output length, and media type. A large Workspace, long attachments, or a request for extensive output will generally consume more Credits.
Review usage
Section titled “Review usage”Go to Settings → Usage to see:
- your current Credits balance;
- the next reset time;
- usage records for text, images, and other operations;
- a daily usage chart.
When Credits run out, AI requests stop and show an upgrade prompt. Reading and organizing existing content or manually editing a document is unaffected.
Manage a subscription
Section titled “Manage a subscription”Pro users can open the billing portal from Settings → Pricing to update payment methods or manage their subscription. If a payment fails or a subscription expires, the interface shows its state and restricts Pro features.
